Youth Forum 2017
On September 18, a Youth Forum took place in Yerevan and the Gyumri Youth Initiative Centre was present in the event. The aim of the forum was to contribute to the development of 2018-2022 Armenian National Youth Policy ensuring stakeholder participation in the process.
The main part of the forum was held in 5 separate thematic groups. One of them, ”Youth work and lifelong learning” group was fasilized by YIC Board Chairperson Anna Yeghoyan and YIC NGO Presedent Artur Najaryan.
Beside, YIC Mobility Projects Cordinator Valya Martirosyan presented Erasmus+ Youth. Info Centre Armenia in the “International Youth Cooperation, Intercultural Dialogue and Youth Movement” group. YIC Project Manager Karen Terteryan also made a speech about “Gyumri Youth Situation Analysis” project in the “Youth Participation” group.
Youth Forum will create a platform for more than a hundred representatives from government, local, international organizations, youth NGOs and clubs, youth researchers, experts and just active young people form national, regional, and local levels.
A package of problems and suggestions has been collected on issues raised as a result of the forum’s work. It is expected that it will support the further process of state strategy development.
The forum was organized by OxYGen Foundation’s Youth Program and Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of RA.
