I was a second year student, when the representatives of Gyumri “Youth Initiative Centre” NGO visited our college: Shirak State Regional College to present the organization’s activities and volunteering opportunities. At that time I didn’t take part actively in non-governmental organizations activities and had no idea what it was, how it worked and I did not think there would come a day I would be involved  in activities of any organization.
I remember that at that meeting I was attentively listening to the representatives of the organization and gave a lot of questions.
Learning the organization’s address, the same day we visited organization with our college students, and from that day I began to visit friquently and participate in various activities and clubs.
Before being a volunteers, I thought that it would be a waste of time, and that instead I could stay at home to relax from school, but when I made my first volunteer work, I realized that I had kept wrong opinion.
I started my volunteer work on August 12, 2015 during the event of ”International Youth Day 2015”.
The day an Expo was organized by YIC in Gyumri Central Park, and I was terribly strained and obliged to accomplish the difficult duty imposed on me.
It gave me a chance to work in a team, ability to communicate freely with men. I can say that the most important was reaching a great many friends in the obtaining of those who are still with me.

Due to YIC I was able to do the most important things in life, which I would never do alone.
