“Youth Initiatives Centre” NGO, continuing the beautiful tradition of celebrating International Youth Day with a big celebration, held various public events in Gyumri on the 12th of August.

The events started with a bike ride, the aim of which was the development of environmental and green skills among young people, the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and youth participation. 

Afterwards starting from 7pm on Abovyan street at the info tent for the ERASMUS+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps programmes, the opportunities provided by the European Solidarity Corps programme were presented to the young people by the participants of ESC annual volunteering event. 

The participants of the programme held a quiz on the topic of European Solidarity Corps programmes, as a result of which 10 out of 20 participants received prizes. 

Public events ended with an open-air concert, during which the “MENQ Project” performed, then DJ SAME continued the evening with the wonderful vibes.

The event was carried out by “Youth Initiatives Centre” NGO, SALTO Eastern Europe and Caucasus, UN Population Fund Armenia (UNFPA), Info Centre for “Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps” Programmes in Armenia and the Gyumri Municipality, within the framework of EU programme “Alliance for Better City Governance” and “European Solidarity Corps Annual Volunteering Event”.
