Its already 5th years Gyumri “Youth Initiative Centre” (YIC) NGO is celebrating the International Youth Day with remarkable public events. This year as well, YIC NGO in cooperation with SALTO Eastern Europe and Caucasus Resource Centre, UN Population Fund Armenia (UNFPA), Gyumri Municipality and Gyumri Technological Centre has implemented large-scale public events on the 12th of August in Gyumri. The day began in Gyumri Technology Center with “Transforming education” conference. In the first part of the Conference there were keynote speeches made by local and international expert-speakers which was followed by workshops on different topics taking place simultaneously in different rooms and facilitated by well-known experts in the field.It was followed by the launch of “European Solidarity Corps” programe in Armenia. Events continued in Gyumri Theatrical Square where was situated “Erasmus+ Youth” and “European Solidarity Corps” programe info tent. Tent gave an opportunity to learn about the programs as well as to get PR materials and other presents with the logos of the programs. The attendees also had chance to take part in a quiz and the winners was awarded. The day was over with Concert of famous and beloved folk rock band “Adana Project” as well as the DJ “Arni Rock” and Haik Solar.
