GLOW (GIRLS LEADING OUR WORLD) CAMPERS’ CALL

We are inviting adolescent girls aged 13-15 from all regions of Armenia and forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh to the GLOW (Girls Leading Our World) camp, which will take place from August 15 to 21 in Dilijan

GLOW endeavors to empower girls and promote leadership through education.

There will be workshops on leadership, civic education, media literacy, human rights, volunteering, healthy lifestyle and mental health, environmental protection, humanitarianism, as well as meetings with influential women speakers and experts of the mentioned fields. As campers, you will  also gain project development and management skills that will help you implement after-GLOW community projects in your communities. On the last day of the camp there will be a presentation of project ideas as a result of which at least 5 projects will get funding for implementation. 

 TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Number of the campers: 40,
  • Age: 13-15 years old
  • Duration of the camp: 7 days,
  • There is no participation fee,
  • The transportation, accommodation and food expenses of the campers are covered,
  • Former GLOW campers cannot participate in the camp a second time.
  • Selected campers are expected to be involved in all phases of the project, from start to finish.

GLOW is an international programme which began as a U.S. Peace Corps initiative in 1995. Since 2015, YIC has taken over the implementation of the programme in Armenia.
