We are delighted to share about one of our most impressive projects of this summer, “Girls Leading Our World” (GLOW) which is a joint project of Gyumri “Youth Initiative Centre” and the U.S. Peace Corps Volunteers with the financial support of the U.S. Embassy Armenia. GLOW is a girls’ leadership and empowerment project that promotes leadership, friendship, civic engagement, gender equality, rights awareness in young Armenian women through targeted curriculum and participant-led community projects implementation. Three day camps and one overnight camp were implemented during July-August in the communities of Gyumri, Kapan, Gavar and village Torosgyugh of Shirak region in close cooperation with local partners Armenian Caritas “Little Prince” Center in Gavar and the KASA Foundation Gyumri. We are very proud for the impact of GLOW on young Armenian females who make use of their knowledge and skills received at camps to implement follow-up projects in their communities. To learn about those projects, follow Armenian GLOW page.
