”FAMILY CORNER” RESOURCE CENTERS
“Family Corner” resource centers are materially equipped and furnished spaces where trainings, thematic meeting-discussions and events are held, aimed at changing stereotypes about the roles of women and men, increasing the involvement of men in child care and parenting.
Resource centers are also a platform for sectoral activities of state and non-governmental organizations.
Beneficiaries of the “Family Corner” resource centers are men and women, fathers and mothers aged 18-40 from Shirak, Lori and Tavush regions/marzes. Since September 2020 the “Family Corner” resource center has been established in Gyumri. By July 2021, it is planned to open “Family Corner” resource centers in Lori and Tavush regions.
The “Family Corner” resource centers were established through the efforts of Gyumri “Youth Initiative Center” NGO and UNFPA Armenia Country Office, funded by the European Union and implemented jointly by UNFPA and UN Women in the frame of the “EU 4 Gender Equality” Project.
