TITLE: Nuotta seminar – Social reinforcement of NEET youth through experiential learning

PLACE: Kokkola, Finland

DATES: August 15-21, 2022

THE PROJECT AIMS to introduce Finnish Nuotta-coaching methodology to youth workers and develop their competences in using this method within the target group of NEET youth.

Nuotta-coaching is practiced in 9 youth centres in Finland and targets NEET youth. It aims to give young people social reinforcement and support their healthy lifestyle, social skills and life management through outdoor activities and experiental learning. 

Our project will include activities such as mountain biking, archery and geocaching, as well as will cover topics on supporting motivation and mental health of young people. We will get to know how operating in nature surroundings can be useful for youth welfare and self-knowledge. 

INVOLVED COUNTRIES: Armenia, Finland, Jordan, Turkey, Austria, Italy, Croatia

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: Participants should be at least 18 years old youth workers, youth leaders, mentors and coaches working in the field of youth work. Participants should be persons who are interested to learn more about experiential learning and outdoor activities aimed for NEET youth. 

Participants are required to have a good level of English.    

Food and lodging are fully covered by the project. The travel limit for Armenian participants is 360 Euros which will be reimbursed via bank transfer upon submitting the ticket receipts to the organizers. Visa fee and visa related costs will be covered by the project. 

Due to Covid-19 situation, participants should be fully vaccinated not later than 9 months ago before their entry to Finland. Acceptable vaccines: Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Covaxin, Sinovac, CoronaVac. 

The Armenian team will consist of 4 participants.

PARTICIPATION FEE:

• 50 EUR 

There is no participation fee for YIC members and for participants nominated from institutions with agreement to YIC.
