TITLE: European values through photograms

PLACE: Cantabria, Spain

DATES: 11-16 May, 2022

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

• Train youth workers to promote European values among youth through the creative expression of photography.
• Equip youth workers with a deeper insight into the language of photography, its potential, and in what ways photography can be used in their work with young people (with fewer opportunities included).
• Support workers in the field of youth in the development of skills specific to encourage critical thinking and participation in the social and political life.
• Provide youth workers with opportunities for training and networking with other youth workers working on youth activism through arts, human rights (inclusion, equality, freedom, democracy) and in the prevention of radicalization of young people.

PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES: Armenia, Spain, Greece, Portugal, and Serbia.

PARTICIPANTS:

• 18-30 years old active young people, youth workers and young leaders, who are interested in combating social exclusion and supporting cultural diversity and are committed to conduct follow-up activities for young people in their communities after the training.
• Have basic knowledge of photography.
• Have good command of English.
• We are looking for 2 participants from Armenia.

PROJECT CONDITIONS:

• Food and lodging are fully covered.
• The travel limit for Armenian participants to the venue of the project is 530 EUR. The reimbursement of the travel costs will take place via bank transfer after the end of the project.
• Visa and visa related costs are covered.
• Due to Covid-19 situation, participants should be fully vaccinated not older than 270 days ago with one of the following vaccines: Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Covaxin, Sinovac – CoronaVac.
• There is participation fee of 50 EUR. YIC members and participants nominated from institutions with agreement to YIC are exempted from the participation fee.
