ERASMUS+ INTERNATIONAL TRAINING COURSE ON ENVIRONMENT AND YOUTH WORK

TITLE:  Nature the youth work

 

ACTIVITY 1: InterConnect TC: Training course targeting youth workers, youth leaders and educators

PLACE: Kobuleti, Georgia

DATES: 21-28 September 2024

 

ACTIVITY 2: Youth Laboratory: Event for staff, youth workers, educators, and community members

PLACE: Slunakov, Czech Republic

DATES: 22-28 February 2025

 

PROJECT AIMS to transform the practices of youth organizations into more sustainable and green ones and to generate new ideas addressing the issues of ecology, sustainability, and green lifestyle in the context of youth work, especially at the local level.

 

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

  • to raise competencies of youth workers to design and deliver activities increasing environmental and ecological awareness of young people, including activities stressing the element of interconnectedness, e.g. tackling the connections between the well-being of young people, their health and addressing environmental issues;
  • to equip the youth workers with new tools and practices that they can apply at their work with young people to encourage them to ‘act and change’ and contribute to creating a more environmentally sustainable society;
  • to equip the staff, youth workers, and leaders with information on the Erasmus + Programme and facilitate creating new project ideas supporting sustainable cooperation.

PARTICIPANT COUNTRIES: Armenia, Georgia, Serbia, Latvia, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Ukraine.

 

PARTICIPANTS:

  • The Armenian team will consist of 2 participants per activity who are active youth workers, youth leaders, volunteers, educators, project coordinators and managers in youth organisations interested in the topic of the project.
  • Participants will be required to do preparation and follow-up activities in their local communities before and after Activity 1 and Activity 2.
  • The participants of Activity 1 are encouraged to participate in Activity 2 as well, however it is not a mandatory requirement. At the same time, YIC NGO takes the right to change the participants for Activity 2 if they do not comply with the project requirements.
  • Members of YIC NGO will have a priority in the selection process.

LANGUAGE: participants should have above intermediate level of English to be able to communicate during the activities.

 

FINANCIAL AND OTHER CONDITIONS:

  • Food and lodging are fully covered by the project.
  • The travel limit for Activity 1 in Georgia is 210 Euros (per person) which will be reimbursed via bank transfer after the end of the project upon submitting the ticket receipts to the organizers.
  • The travel limit for Activity 2 in Czech Republic is 360 Euros (per person) which will be reimbursed via bank transfer after the end of the project upon submitting the ticket receipts to the organizers.
  • Visa fee and visa related costs for Schengen visa will be covered up to 35 EUR by the project and reimbursed with travel costs.

 

PARTICIPATION FEE: 20 EUR (per Activity)․

There is no participation fee for YIC members.
