On December 28, the New Year and 8th birthday  event of  YIC NGO took place. On November 11, another joyful, festal ‘’Friday’s Café’’ full of games took place in Gyumri YIC NGO. This time the topic was Birthday party. At first the participants tasted the festive cake and other sweets cooked by our volunteers, then spent a wonderful and unforgettable time playing different games initiated by organizers and the same time learnt different methods of holding Birthday party.   See more ...

On November 4, 2016 the presentations of both Biannual report 2014-2015 as well as new website took place in Gyumri YIC NGO. In the first part YIC president Artur Najaryan presented the organization's activities and conducted projects during those two years and Finance Manager Liana Hakobyan presented the financial report. Then the presentation of a new website took place and the Public Relations manager Lilit Sargsyan presented the new structure and the opportunities of the website. On October 13, 2016, a meeting-discussion took place in the National Assembly on the topic ''Armenia-Italy cooperation in the field of education and science''. The Ambassador of Italy in Armenia Giovanni Ricciulli, as well as representatives from the sectors of education, science, politics were at the meeting. They made speeches, talking about the importance of Armenia-Italy cooperation.  On October 14, the first meeting of autumnal ''Friday's Cafe'' dedicated to France took place . The cafe participants had the opportunity to learn interesting facts about the culture, traditions and people of that country of love through the presentation made by our EVS volunteers. The participants also had the opportunity to taste French food, cooked by our EVS volunteers. The French music and the entertaining games organized by the participants made the Parisian atmospheare of the cafe warmer. See more ...

On November 1, 2016 the Turkish club for beginners launched and the first meeting with the participants took place. During the meeting the participants learnt to get acquainted with each other in different interactive ways. The club is run by Turkish language specialist Karapet Ayvazyan. ...

On August 27, 2016 a non-formal meeting took place at Gyumri's central park with volunteers involved in the organizing activities of the International Youth Day events . Volunteers shared their impressions and made new proposals. At the end Gyumri YIC NGO handed certificates to volunteers for active participation and support in organizing activities of IYD events.       See more  ...

 On June 12, 2016, YIC members meeting was held, where the beneficiaries actively involved in the organization activities were also present . During the meeting, the presentaion of the semiannual report of the organization's president, international board and controller took place, after which the members and beneficiaries had the opportunity to learn about the organization's current and future projects. At the end of the formal part of the meeting new members got their memebers cards , then the meeting continued in an informal atmosphere, allowing the members, beneficiaries and staff members to communicate with each other and spend a nice time.         ...

2016թ From March 30 to April 2, the international volunteer of Gyumri "Youth Initiatives Center" NGO Kirstine Knudzen conducted an event dedicated to Hans Christian Andersen's birth and his fairy tales in Shirak Regional Library which brought together a group of schoolchildren. During the event, children had the opportunity to learn more about the writer's life and work. They also heard one of the fairy tales of Andersen, watched a cartoon then illustrated the fairy tale on the papers by drawing.       See more...
