Armenia-Germany School Exchange Programme

Within the framework of the Armenia-Germany School Exchange Program, Gyumri “Youth Initiative Centre” hosted a seven-member delegation from the Berlin largest school – Carl Von Linne special school. The goal of the project is the promotion of partnership between schools in Armenia and Germany, exchange of experience of the school children and teachers. The students and teachers from Shirak State University High School and Gyumri Photon College SNCO are involved in the programme from Gyumri. Within the framework of the programme, the German delegation made a tour in educational institutions, education development centers, as well as numerous historical and cultural places of Armenia – Vahramaberd and Marmashen churches, Garni-Geghard, Dilijan, Sevan, Yerevan and Tsitsernakaberd . During the visit to the Government of Shirak Marz, the delegation met with deputy governor of Shirak Marz Sofia Hovsepyan, during which the peculiarities of inclusive education in Armenia, existing programs and key issues in this area were presented. *It should be reminded that the project is implemented by Gyumri “Youth Initiatives Centre” NGO within the framework of the German Economic Cooperation and ENSA program. In addition let us add that during the first stage of the programme, the Armenian delegation also left for Berlin on a study visit and job shadowing in May.
