TITLE:  Viewpoint diversity matters

THE PROJECT AIMS to promote better understanding of the human rights and freedom of speech concept, how the concept of ‘’cancel culture’’ impacts democracy and to respect different points of view.

INVOLVED COUNTRIES: Armenia, Croatia, Portugal, Lebanon, Georgia and North Macedonia.

PARTICIPANTS: The Armenian team will consist of 5 young participants and 1 team leader.

• Young participants should be 18-25 years old active young people, volunteers and students who are interested to learn more about why people have different opinions, as well as how to overcome the differences in a productive way. Link to the young participant’s application form: 
• The team leader should be at least 21 years old youth leader or youth worker, who has previous experience participating in YIC international projects. Link to the team leader’s application form.

LANGUAGE: Participants are required to have at least intermediate level of English. The team leader is required to have an advanced level of English.  

FINANCIAL AND OTHER CONDITIONS:

• Food and lodging are fully covered by the project. 
• The travel limit for Armenian participants is 360 Euros which will be reimbursed via bank transfer upon submitting the ticket receipts to the organizers. 
• Visa fee and visa related costs (can make up to 160 EUR) will be covered by the project together with travel costs. 
• Due to Covid-19 situation, participants with full vaccination will be given a priority. Acceptable vaccines: Novavax, Moderna, Pfizer, Janssen, AstraZeneca. Participants without valid Covid-19 vaccination have to get tested before entering Croatia. 

PARTICIPATION FEE: 35 EUR 

There is no participation fee for YIC members and for participants nominated from institutions with agreement to YIC.
