“GYUMRI YOUTH HOUSE” OPEN YOUTH CENTRE
“Gyumri Youth House” open youth centre is the first youth center in Armenia working with the methodology and principles of open youth work, which was founded by Gyumri “Youth Initiative Center” NGO in May 2018 in cooperation with the European Union and Gyumri Municipality. The organization believes that professional work with young people and free services in one of the remote districts of Gyumri has the full potential to fill the gap that currently exists in a safe and youth-centered environment and to provide opportunities for personal development and informal learning.
The aim of the centre is to increase the civic activity and well-being of young people in Armenia, especially in Gyumri, through the implementation of youth work.
The activity of “Gyumri Youth House” is aimed at improving the quality of life of young people, increasing their civic activity and involving them in community life. The center is a safe space for teenagers and young adults aged 13-18 to learn, develop new skills, express themselves, organize their free time and interact with peers, as well as an environment conducive to their socialization and the implementation of positive changes in their communities.
The center provides services to 600 young people annually.

Supported by youth workers, the centre offers a safe space for education, self-expression, hanging out and socializing with peers that has:

- Educational and entertaining games,
