CAPACITY BUILDING OF YOUTH WORKERS

“Youth Initiative Center” (YIC) NGO invites youth workers over the age of 18 from all regions of the RA to participate as mentors in a four-day training aimed at developing professional skills and promoting effective involvement in the youth sector.

Training details:

When: June 6 to 9

Where: Aghveran, Kotayk

The aim of the training is:

provide youth workers with practical mentoring skills and prepare them to mentor in various programmatic and organizational settings.

 

Thematic framework of the training:

-Promoting youth participation

-Matching the needs of youth and organizations

-Delineation of the professional boundaries of the mentor and related fields

-Supporting the implementation of youth initiatives

-Development of mentor skills

 

What to expect from the training?

– Expand your experience in the field of youth work,

– Develop the skills essential to effectively engage and motivate young people,

– Get new contacts in the professional field and have the opportunity to exchange experience,

– Discover new methods and approaches of informal learning,

– If possible, get involved as mentors during the further actions of the project (idea labs, hackathons, and Model Armenia program, etc.).

 

Who can apply?

– Individuals aged 18 and older,

– At least 2 years of professional or voluntary youth work experience.

* Participation is free. Food, accommodation, and transportation expenses of the participants are covered by the organizers.

** Participants will be given a certificate of participation.
