EVS/EVASENDING
YIC NGO in the framework of “European Solidarity Corps” (former: ”Youth In Action”) the ”European Voluntary Activities” program. EVA gives Armenian youth a chance to volunteer in EU countries.
EVA aims to instill in young people humanism, tolerance and to encourage active citizenship for community development.

On July 30, 2019 the farewell event for Jozef Banas (Slovakia) took place. Jozef has been volunteering for ten months at Gyumri “Youth Initiative Centre” NGO, he was involved in public relations work, organizing different projects like the “Friday’s Café”, Photography and Video Editing club at YIC and Youth House, English club in Bavra and making monthly videos. On June 4th in the frames of "UPSHIFT Armenia" Adolescents Development and Empowerment programme monitoring visits took place with teams which got financial support. On June 28 a forum entitled "Perspectives for the Development of Open Youth Work in Armenia" took palce in Yerevan. The forum was aimed at presenting the results of the project "Recognition of Open Youth Work in Armenia" and discussing the issues of youth work in Armenia, the challenges and opportunities, the experience and future actions of the key stakeholders.
